Privacy policy

This policy describes how SE8UENCE (“the app”) handles information. The publisher of the app on Google Play is the controller. We keep collection small on purpose.
Who is responsible
The developer who publishes SE8UENCE on Google Play is responsible for this policy. Contact us through the Play Store listing for the app. There is no account system and no customer login.
What stays on your device
Scores, Daily 8 streak, Solo medals, player names, language and sound are stored only on this device (app storage). We do not sync that save to a SE8UENCE account. Uninstalling the app, or Reset local data in Settings, deletes it from the device.
Idea box
The idea box is optional. If you send an idea, we store the text and the time it arrived — not your name, email, or Google account. Ideas are used only to plan categories, topics and modes. Do not put personal data in an idea.
Website visits
The website se8uence.grok.me counts anonymous visits: a daily total of sessions, and of browsers that opened the site for the first time that day. We do not store an IP address, name or account. The Android app is not included. Refreshing in the same session does not count again. Daily totals are kept so we can see whether the site is used.
Ads
The Play build uses Google AdMob. A banner can sit at the bottom of the home screen. After a finished round, a full-screen ad can play. Never while you place a card or during a timer. In the store you can choose a video for 1 coin, and in Time Attack for 10 extra seconds. The reward is given only if the video finishes. Kids mode shows no ads. An ad-free year removes the banner and the ad after a round; the optional videos stay available. Google may process an advertising ID, coarse location, IP address and interaction data to show and measure ads. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, Google’s consent form (UMP) appears before ads can load. SE8UENCE does not sell this data. Google’s policy applies: https://policies.google.com/privacy
Google Play
Installing from Google Play is handled by Google. Play may collect install, crash and device data under Google’s terms. Purchases (an ad-free year, or a coin pack) go through Google Play. SE8UENCE does not receive your card number. Google tells the app whether a purchase is active. That is Google’s processing, not a SE8UENCE profile.
Sharing a result
A Daily 8 share card is drawn on your device. If you share it, you use your phone’s share sheet (WhatsApp, Photos, etc.). SE8UENCE does not upload the card to our server.
Online play
Online 1v1 is switched off in this version. This build does not start a match with another player or share a network address for play.
What we do not collect
We do not require an email, phone number or account. We do not sell personal data. We do not use the idea box to identify you. We do not show ads during play.
Children
SE8UENCE is a general-audience puzzle game. It is not directed at children under 13. Kids mode in Settings shows only the Kids topics, with no ads and no purchases for real money. Turning it off asks for a multiplication. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child sent personal data in an idea, contact us via the Play listing and we will delete it.
How long we keep data
On-device save data stays until you clear it or uninstall. Anonymous ideas are kept only as long as they are useful for making the game, then discarded. Ad data is retained by Google according to their policy.
Your rights
If you are in the EEA, UK or Switzerland you can access, correct or delete personal data we hold, and object to or restrict processing, and complain to your data authority (in the Netherlands: Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens). Because most play data never leaves the phone, deletion on-device is Reset local data. For an idea you sent, contact us via the Play listing.
Changes
If this policy changes in a material way, we update the date above and the in-app copy. Continued use after an update means you accept the new text.
